Credit Risk Manager

Biography

A professional career in Microfinance that spans over 18 years having provided service through various leadership roles in sales, collections, and credit risk with responsibilities that included but not limited to policy creation and implementation; systems development; monitoring and reporting of KPIs; and the training of staff. Having joined Lasco Microfinance (LASMF) in 2017, I began serving in my current role of Credit Risk Manager on January 01, 2021. Prior to this role, I have served LASMF as a Senior Business Analyst, Credit Risk Adjudicator, and Assistant Manager-Collection.

A strong believer in human development through volunteerism, empowerment, and mentorship, I have served as a mentor in the LASCO Chin Foundation (LCF) Entrepreneurship Programme and was recognized as the top mentor for Cohort 2 in the Sustainable Socio-Economic Intervention (SSI) Entrepreneurship Programme.  I am a member of the SALISES alumni executive committee at UWI, Mona, and am actively involved in fundraising activities and mentorship of current students.

I have a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.) from the University of Technology, Jamaica, and a Master of Science degree in Development Studies from the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES) at The University of the West Indies. I have also attained professional certification in Project Management from the University of the West Indies, Open Campus, and Securities Certification from the Jamaica Institute of Management (JIM).
