More than 5,000 cricketers islandwide will benefit from the SDC Wray & Nephew T20 Community Cricket competition.
Danielle Harris-Drysdale, marketing manager at LASCO Financial Services, said her organisation is proud to sponsor the competition.
“LASCO Money has been bowled over by the many opportunities presented to our cricketers to represent at the regional level. We continue to cheer for the restaurants, bars, hotels, sports shops, corner shops, supermarkets and other SMEs that have benefited directly and indirectly from the matches,” she said during the launch of the SDC Wray & Nephew T20 Community Cricket competition on Wednesday, July 17.
One of the players, Ziggy Levy, who represents Orange Hill, said it is good that the tournament has the backing of corporate Jamaica.
“The support and engagement of communities and small businesses wherever the matches are played is a confidence boost because it is a win-win scenario for all involved,” Levy, an all-rounder, said.
