LASCO believes sports is integral to community and national development and has sponsored a number of sporting events. The company has sponsored the JTA National Primary, All-Age and Junior High Schools Athletics Championship and  has provided food supplies to the Sunshine Girls, the Jamaica Netball Team.

One of our major sporting considerations is the Social Development Commission (SDC) National Twenty/20 Community Cricket Championship, which we have sponsored since 2013. With matches hosted at over 60 venues island-wide, the competition has been integral in advancing Jamaica’s community development agenda through sports, and has also played a role in enhancing the abilities of community based organisations to initiate positive action. In excess of 2000 individuals have gained seasonal employment as venue administrators, umpires, scorers and vendors, with the major impact being among persons between the ages of 14 and 45 years. Over 42 community projects have benefited from $830,000 through the competition.
