LASCO Financial re-opens Drive-Thru Cambio

Kingston, Jamaica: LASCO Financial Services Limited (LFSL), has re-opened its drive-thru cambio service at its LASCO Money Store located at its head offices at 38 ½ Red Hills Road in Kingston. The service has been reinstated in time for the Christmas rush and after an extensive expansion within the organisation to provide customers with greater comfort and modern amenities in a larger more convenient space with added parking and security.

Marketing Manager at LFSL, Nicolene Worthy-Donaldson, is pleased with the progress at the new location. “We are pleased with the improvements to our services and facilities at our new home; but more than anything else we are proud that we provide our customers with world class amenities and the customer service to match. Our clients are excited that the drive-thru cambio has been re-opened in time for the season. It is indeed a value added service that we pride ourselves in delivering,” shares Donaldson.

Though cards are not facilitated at the drive-thru teller, bill payment transactions are permitted. At JMD $25, the third party bill payment service is still among the lowest bill payments service fees locally.

“Customers should note that our MoneyGram remittance service is not offered at the drive-thru cambio. They [customers] will be required to come into our banking hall to conduct transactions outside of foreign exchange and bill payments,” says Donaldson.

The drive-thru cambio service boasts a vehicle clearance of seven feet in height and accommodates up to two transactions equivalent to USD $900, in any currency.

The new drive-thru operates on weekdays between the hours of 8am and 4pm and Saturdays between 9am and 4pm and facilitates the buying and selling foreign exchange on a cash-only basis.

LFSL, the youngest addition to the LASCO Affiliated Companies, originally implemented the drive-thru cambio service in 2011 as Jamaica’s first and only drive-thru cambio service.
